Therapy First-Timers Read This!

I came across this marvellous piece the other day by Emma Cameron, a therapist in the UK. It's a short memoir of her first therapy session many years ago and is such a good description of all the emotions a person can feel when they take that first step to talk to someone: fear of judgment, nervousness, shame, anticipation... But then relief, and later, peacefulness and hope. I reached out to Emma to ask if I could link to her blog post here on my blog and she said, "So kind of you to reach out, and it's lovely to hear that you found my blog post resonated. And I'll be delighted to have you link to it." So here it is, for anyone who's considering therapy. https://emmacameron.com/therapy/when-i-first-went-to-therapy/
